It began in 1987.
Our core company, Shapthagiri Refineries, was founded in 1987 by Mr. G. V. Rangarajan, who brings more than 50 years of experience in the edible oil industry.
From our refinery and packing unit on the outskirts of Palakkad, we refine, test and pack coconut oil under our own names — Pooram roasted coconut oil and Dhwani pure coconut oil.
Ever since, there has been substantial growth, under one seal: Health & Purity, since 1987.

The rice bowl of God's own country.
Our refinery and packing unit sits on the outskirts of Palakkad, known as the rice bowl of “God's own country”, Kerala.
The entire unit is well equipped, and run by skilled and experienced people.
Five thousand cartons a day.
Our state-of-the-art packing unit can produce 5,000 cartons every day.
The semi-automatic line needs minimum human intervention, so every pack is filled and sealed under highly hygienic conditions.

In our own laboratory
Every product undergoes stringent tests in our well-equipped lab before it is packed.
At Coconut Development Board labs
Every batch is also tested in laboratories under the Coconut Development Board of India.

Packed with zero leakage and no contamination, in robust cartons that prevent tampering.
Then shipped
Our oils leave only when every required quality parameter is met.
‘Pooram’ means a congregation.
It is also the gathering of deities riding sacred temple elephants for a festival in Kerala — a tradition of more than two centuries, and a spectacular symbol of heritage, celebration, joy and grandeur.
